Former NBA star Derek Fisher was arrested for DUI on June 4, 2017, in Sherman Oaks, California after a one-car accident according to sources. The crash is alleged to have happened around 3 AM and Fisher had a passenger in the car. No injuries were reported and Fisher was taken into custody without incident.

Fisher is alleged to have been approaching the 405 interchange in Sherman Oaks when he allowed his vehicle to veer right onto the paved right shoulder and off the road. Fisher was subsequently taken into custody by police. It is unclear at this point exactly how officers determined Fisher was impaired and whether or not Fisher underwent a breath test at the scene.
